MOT

A dedicated MOT bay, an MOT manager and three testers. Wait in reception with a drink, or ask about a loan car. Small fixes done at a fair price.

Warning lights, limp mode, faults other garages could not find. We read the codes with Jaguar Land Rover diagnostic software and test before we replace.

Electric and hybrid too. All our technicians have completed Jaguar Land Rover training in electric vehicle maintenance and servicing.

02  The day

What happens on the day

  1. Drive up to the door. Over 20 parking spaces, an optional loan car (there is a small charge), or a free lift to Farnham station.
  2. We investigate and diagnose before we quote.
  3. If the car needs anything extra, we phone you first. Nothing goes ahead without your say-so.
  4. You know the full cost before you collect.

03  The people and the place

Twenty-three years at the main dealer. Thirteen as an independent.

Barny Jones started out in the industry over 30 years ago, and his passion for all things Jaguar & Land Rover remains strong to this day. Barny Jones Limited was born out of his passion and enthusiasm for these iconic motor brands.

  • 1993

    Barny Jones worked for Swain & Jones Jaguar Dealership in Farnham, Surrey and became their top performing Master Technician, Team Leader and trainer to the apprentices.

  • 2013

    After 23 years, Barny left the dealership to start up his own company, Barny Jones Limited. He discovered that customers naturally followed him. Their intention was clear, “continue to look after our cars”. It became apparent to Barny that he was going to need a bigger workshop.

  • 2017

    Barny Jones Limited quadrupled the size of the business and relocated to Crondall, Farnham. We value our staff and have recruited the best. We have an experienced team of Jaguar and Land Rover trained technicians, a Service Adviser and a Service Manager.

  • 2018

    Barny Jones Limited became authorised by the DVSA as an MoT testing station.

Barny Jones Ltd is run by the Jones family and a team of ten. You deal with real people who know your car, from the front desk to the ramp.
